Saban Capital Group, a private equity firm, selected GOVT Real Estate Group to handle the disposition assignment of a 14-property portfolio of major GSA-leased assets, located in 11 states and totaling approximately 1.5 million square feet. As the largest national GSA portfolio sale on record, the size of this transaction created a narrower audience of investors with the capability and qualifications to acquire the portfolio in its entirety. GOVT Real Estate Group created a competitive bid environment amongst a selection of major institutions, ultimately trading the entire portfolio offering to a public REIT.
