GOVT Real Estate Group Closes U.S. Department of Homeland Security Portfolio in Orlando, Florida

San Diego, California | March 9th, 2024 – The GOVT Real Estate Group announced today the recent sale of two single-tenant facilities totaling 77,260 square feet in Orlando, Florida that are leased on a long-term basis to the GSA (U.S. General Services Administration) for use by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Enforcement and Removal Operations & Homeland Security Investigations.

The Orlando Homeland Security Portfolio features a strategic and central location in Orlando, Florida in immediate proximity to Orlando International Airport. The facilities were designed and built according to the specific requirements of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in adherence with strict federal security and building construction standards. Both facilities comprising the portfolio have excess land which would accommodate tenant needs if a future expansion were necessary.

The property was acquired by a REIT which focuses on government property acquisitions and was sold on behalf of a development firm based in Boca Raton.
