The U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) Las Cruces Branch Office is a single-tenant, 18,244 square foot facility that is leased on a long-term basis to the U.S. Federal Government. Located in downtown Las Cruces, New Mexico, the building which underwent a comprehensive renovation to suit the specific needs of the U.S. Attorneys, with completion in May of 2017.

The USAO Las Cruces Branch Office is responsible for prosecutions arising out of the southern portion of New Mexico. This office primarily prosecutes narcotics and immigration-related offenses due to the location near the international border with Mexico, but is also responsible for an assortment of firearms, public integrity, Indian Country, and other types of cases.

This new USAO location is situated immediately to the north of and adjacent to the United States Courthouse facility in Las Cruces, providing exceptional proximity for the US Attorneys to the location where their cases are prosecuted. This facility offers the most optimal location possible for the USAO Las Cruces Branch Office, and is irreplaceable from that standpoint. Tenant Improvements costs for this project exceeded $2.63 million, evidencing the significant financial commitment that was made to this location.
